Adult Basic Education & GED

Adult Basic Education (ABE)

The mission of the Adult Basic Education (ABE) Program is to provide instruction in the basic skills of reading, writing, and mathematics to adult learners in order to prepare them for transitioning into the labor market or higher academic or vocational training.

This free program helps adults age 16 or older (who are not enrolled in a secondary school) develop these basic skills. The Elk River Learning Lab is a member of Metro North ABE, a consortium of Community Education departments of nine school districts. It is located at the Handke Center at 1170 Main Street in Elk River, MN. For current workshops and schedule, contact the Site Coordinator, Pam Moriarity at: 763-241-3400 extension 5525 or email:[email protected]
